Wien Herbst

Vienna on the Weekend:
from the vineyards to the city's boutiques

Vienna is the only city in Europe with a population of over one million that has significant wine-growing within its own borders. There are about 600 hectares of vineyards to explore on the Nussberg, the Bisamberg, and in Mauer—often just a few meters from the built-up urban area. A glass of Viennese “Gemischter Satz,” a traditional Viennese snack platter, and a view of the Danube and St. Stephen’s Cathedral.

The fun continues below. The Naschmarkt on Saturday morning, the workshops and small labels around Spittelberg and Neubaugasse, and in the evening, the Konzerthaus or a Beisl with a Viennese wine list. Vienna in the fall needs no special effects; all you have to do is go with the flow.

Two nights at harry’s home Vienna – Millennium Tower, located on the U6 line and thus equidistant from the opera house and a Heuriger, are available from Friday through Sunday for a fixed price of €199. Plenty of space, kitchen available upon request, pets welcome.
