Winter Experiences

Zauberhafter Winter in der österreichischen Hauptstadt

Welcome to Vienna

When the city is aglow with festive lights, Vienna shows its most romantic side. Clear winter air, a slice of Sachertorte in one of the elegant coffee houses, magnificent architecture, and the gentle ringing of horse-drawn carriage bells create a very special atmosphere. Whether strolling through snow-covered parks, visiting a museum, or spending an evening at the opera, winter in Vienna invites you to slow down, enjoy, and marvel, combining culture, pleasure, and moments of well-being.

And, of course, a visit to the Viennese Christmas markets is a must: from the traditional Old Viennese Christmas market on Freyung to the festively glittering Rathausplatz, they spread warmth and anticipation for the holidays. Afterwards, you can warm up wonderfully at harry’s home Vienna – cozy, almost like home.

Must-Do

Belvedere Palace is also open in winter.

The magnificent Belvedere Palace – once the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy – also exudes its own special charm in winter. When snow covers the baroque gardens and the historic palace glitters in the winter sun, an almost fairy-tale atmosphere is created. Today, the Upper Belvedere houses an impressive art collection, including world-famous works such as “The Kiss” by Gustav Klimt and numerous works by Austrian and international artists. A stroll through the quiet palace gardens and a visit to the exhibition make the Belvedere an unforgettable experience even in the cold season. From harry’s home Vienna, you can easily reach the palace in around 25 minutes by S-Bahn – perfect for a winter cultural day in Vienna.
